Job Summary

The Agent, Front Desk is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Front Desk area, including guest arrivals, departures, and finances (billing). They will deliver exceptional service, ensuring guests receive prompt, professional, and personalized attention throughout their stay.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest service by anticipating needs, responding to inquiries, and resolving complaints and concerns promptly
  • Uphold high service standards while actively contributing to service improvement initiatives
  • Complete accurate check-in and check-out procedures, including guest registration, passport verification, room allocations, room moves, and more
  • Review daily arrival lists, ensuring rooms are assigned properly, according to the booked category, guest preferences, and operational limitations
  • Maintain strong knowledge of room types, rates, discounts, and inclusions
  • Support the Front Office upselling program by confidently promoting appropriate room types
  • Communicate guest preferences, requests, and service feedback to the appropriate departments, ensuring appropriate follow-up
  • Maintain accurate guest folios, ensuring billing information is correct and current
  • Follow established credit control, including processing credit card transactions, floats, and reports
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Manager, Front Office or other members of management

 

Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of Front Office experience a hotel or resort environment
  • Previous experience in guest services or customer service preferred
  • Proficient in computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Opera PMS, and other hospitality applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English
  • Strong organization skills, with a high attention to detail

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

  • Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Remaining in a stationary position for long periods
  • Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
