Job Summary
Responsible for providing direction to the property teams in order to maximize RevPAR, TrevPAR, RevPAR Index and profitability through the management of room inventories, market mix and pricing strategies. The Revenue Analyst also supports and assists the resort’s sales and marketing plans by recommending opportunities to maximize yield, monitoring progress against revenue goals and ensuring that the hotel is competitively positioned within the local marketplace.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Competitive & Market Analysis
• Continuously monitor and assess competitor pricing, market dynamics, and demand generators to optimize revenue strategy.
• Analyze and review weekly and monthly STR Reports, evaluating RevPAR Index shifts and utilizing additional market intelligence tools to forecast performance.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, economic shifts, and local market conditions that impact demand.
• Conduct strategic analysis to assist in maximizing hotel revenue, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth.
Revenue Strategy & Pricing Optimization
• Assist in developing and monitoring group pricing strategies, identifying preferred booking patterns and need periods.
• Support inventory management, adjusting pricing models based on booking trends and market conditions.
• Attend weekly Revenue Meetings, contributing to discussions on pricing strategies, forecasting adjustments, and market mix optimization.
• Prepare documents for revenue meeting and maintain meeting minutes, ensuring distribution to relevant stakeholders post-meeting.
• Support weekly, monthly, and annual forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy through data-driven decision-making.
Forecasting & Financial Analysis
• Generate weekly and monthly, and long-term revenue forecasts with a focus on precision and strategic insights.
• Analyze room performance, booking patterns, and market trends, creating reports that inform future business strategies.
• Provide displacement analysis for group sales, ensuring optimal group booking decisions.
• Develop strategic pricing tactics based on historical data and industry trends.
Collaboration & Business Development
• Partner with the Director of Revenue and Sales & Marketing to stimulate demand during need periods, identifying key opportunities and promotions.
• Assist in the development and execution of the hotel’s strategic plan and annual operating plan.
• Coordinate with Reservations, Front Desk, and Sales/Marketing teams to ensure optimal reservation blocking, promotions, and account management.
• Foster strong relationships within and outside the market, ensuring proactive engagement with business partners.
• Support communication between corporate revenue teams and hotel departments to align market strategies.
Technology, Systems Management & Training
• Ensure optimal use of revenue management and reservations systems by completing relevant training and applying best practices.
• Train Sales/Marketing, Reservations, and Front Office teams on revenue management principles, ensuring alignment across departments.
• Guide teams in leveraging revenue management tools, driving property-wide strategy and Total Revenue Management initiatives.
• Conduct and support revenue audits, assisting the Director of Revenue Management in maintaining compliance and optimizing efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of data integrity, ensuring systems are updated and reporting structures remain accurate.
• Utilize data visualization and reporting tools to present key insights and recommendations in a clear, actionable format.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
• Minimum requirement of College degree (BS/BA), Hospitality preferred
• Must be able to guide, direct, and deploy rooms revenue strategies with minimal direction
• Skilled in problem analysis, problem solving and decision making
• Above average Excel knowledge; extremely comfortable compiling and manipulating data
• Aptitude to perform numerical analysis of data and formulate conclusions and solutions
• Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
• Track record of working collaboratively with others to achieve desired results.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations

Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
