This is a live-in position requiring that the successful candidate reside in the Colleague Village. Accommodation is provided in a studio apartment at a subsidized rate of 50% of the standard fee.

 

Job Summary 

The Assistant Manager, Colleague Lifestyle is responsible for helping manage the operation of colleague accommodations, including colleague housing and colleague facilities. They will strive to ensure that all colleague accommodations, facilities, and services are maintained in accordance with One&Only standards.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Assist the Manager, Colleague Lifestyle with the day-to-day operations of the Colleague Village

  • Support the management of room allocations based on resident arrivals and departures
  • Maintain accurate records and files relating to colleague acommodations, room assignments, room inspections, and resident activities
  • Respond to reasonable accommodation requests from residents
  • Ensure that only authorized individuals enter buildings within the Colleague Village by enforcing access procedures and identification requirements
  • Ensure all public areas and surrounding grounds are clean, organized, and well-maintained by providing direction to the Colleague Village Housekeeping team

  • Ensure all assigned arrival rooms are prepared to the required standards by the Colleague Village Housekeeping team before residents move in
  • Conduct daily inspections of public facilities within the Colleague Village to ensure standards are being met
  • Maintain all notice boards within Colleague Village, ensuring posted information and provided resources are current, accurate, and relevant

  • Organize resident engagement activities in coordination with the Manager, Colleague Lifestyle, Coordinator, Colleague Lifestyle, and Human Resources team
  • Coordinate with property management to ensure maintenance requests for accommodations are logged, tracked, and followed up through the appropriate systems on a daily basis
  • Ensure all materials, supplies, and equipment required for the Colleague Village are ordered, available, and operational
  • Understand compliance with health and safety policies, protocols, and procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Colleague Lifestyle or other members of management

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements  

  • Previous experience in hotel operations, housing operations, facilities management, or a related field is required

  • Prior experience in a cutomer- or guest-facing role is preferred
  • Proficiency in computer systems like Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn property management systems

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team while providing guidance to fellow colleagues

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

  • Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods 
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling 
  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds 
  • Remaining in a stationary position for long periods 
  • Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery 
  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
