Job Summary

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for the club by facilitating and managing all children’s and teens programs and the facility operation. The Assistant Manager will oversee all staff for the area and be responsible for ensuring the program is offered to a defined standard of quality.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities
•    Provides guest service through positive interaction with parents, children and teens and responds to their needs for information and any complaints, communicates out any requests or profile information to the appropriate persons
•    Manage, train and develop the Kids Club staff in all areas of their responsibilities and job functions
•    Interview, hire and onboard qualified candidates for the Service Desk & Kids Club.
•    Ensure check-in and check-out procedures are being properly executed for the safety of the children
•    Develops calendar of social events, programs and activities for junior hotel guests year-round
•    Ensure special program is being prepared for special events like Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. 
•    Purchases supplies for planned activities and approved events
•    Resolves all guest and employee queries in a polite and professional manner at all times
•    Promote all resort programs, facilities, and services
•    Answer telephone promptly and professionally
•    Maintain a safe working environment. Report and correct, if possible, any unsafe acts or conditions
•    Project a positive, friendly and caring attitude always while interacting with children and their parents
•    Provide parents and guardian information of the child’s behavior and any unusual occurrence or activity involving their child
•    All other duties as assigned by a member of the leadership team

 

Required knowledge and qualifications:
•    Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain before start date
•    Previous experience in a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel; supervisory experience preferred
•    2-4 years previous experience working with children and teens in a similar environment such as kids club, camp, after school program, etc.

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

  • Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods 
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling 
  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds 
  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
