Job Summary
Be able to identify the types of linens and there use along with proper cleaning methods. To ensure all dirty linens and clothing that is sent to the Laundry is cleaned to the highest possible standard.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• To understand and be able to operate all laundry machinery in the correct manner to avoid any damage to the equipment, linens and staff
• Sort all dirty linen into types of linens and its use, including uniform and personal clothing
• Wash and dry all items in accordance with the correct wash and drying settings
• Check all linens and towels for stains which need to be rewashed and follow the correct rewash procedure / discard procedure
• To use the flatwork ironer to iron the necessary items
• Fold, stack, and store neatly all clean linens according to size and items
• Ensure all guest personal clothing is marked and recorded accordingly
• Ensure guest personal clothing is cleaned using the correct process and handled in a manner to prevent damages
• When packing guest clothing to ensure that all items are packed and accounted for according to the laundry list and what was received
• To be able to assist in the inventories and to keep a record of production and time where required in the Laundry
• Assist in new colleague job skill training as and when requested by the superiors
• All other duties as assigned by leadership
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
• High school diploma
• Be Fluent in Spoken & Written English
• Must have minimum 2 years job experience in a five-star or higher category resort.

Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
- Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds
- Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
