Job Summary 

The Rental  Attendant is responsible for providing professional and customer focused service to guest and ensuring memorable guest experiences. They will work closely with the Recreation & Leisure team to ensure One&Only service standards exceed the guest expectations. The Ski Rental and Recreation Attendant will be responsible for providing personalized winter equipment rentals and assist guest with additional winter recreation services.  

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate personalized winter equipment rentals, from proper equipment selection, boot fitting and binding adjustment with the goal of ensuring guest safety and satisfaction
• Maintain up to date maintenance logs and equipment inventories
• Regularly tune and repair rental equipment
• Maintain set safety and facility cleanliness standards
• Be knowledgeable regarding current ski conditions and other resort activities/amenities to properly answer any guest questions
• Provide guest with assistance with winter recreation activities such as, Nordic skiing, Snowshoeing, downhill skiing and snowboarding
• To continuously collect feedback from guests and report it back to the Management
• Perform routine maintenance on ski tuning equipment
• Operate resort point of sales and property management systems to properly bill guest
• To assist with any other duties that are required by the Recreation & Leisure management or another member of the Hotel management team

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements 

• Excellent Communication skills
• Prior experience and knowledge of winter equipment maintenance and tuning preferred 
• Ability to obtain ski binding certifications for mounting, testing and setting DIN
• Knowledge of Big Sky Resort terrain, current ski conditions, and additional program offerings
• Experience in 5*, upmarket resort would be an advantage but not a requirement.
• Previous experience with Winterstiger Tune and Repair equipment and Easy Rent software preferred

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

• Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods 

• Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling 

• Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds 

• Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
