Job Summary

To ensure the coordination of the Housekeeping department is monitored and kept updated via notice boards, standard reports and communication to the respective areas as per resort standards.  Ensuring all requests to the Housekeeping department is handled in an efficient and correct manner as per resort standards. Ensuring that daily morning and evening allocations are organized before the appropriate shift start.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities
•    Attend daily briefing at the beginning of each shift
•    Prepare all daily task sheets as per Hotel standards and requirements for the appropriate shift
•    Monitor, update and correct status of guest rooms as per daily instructions
•    Answer calls, forward requests and ensure the requests are followed up and completed as per resort standards
•    Communicate correctly with department supervisors and managers throughout the day ensuring that all information is updated and communicated to the correct area efficiently
•    Carry out all required system tasks in the resort Opera system
•    To be fully competent in using the paging system
•    Carry out proper handover between shifts
•    Have thorough knowledge of all tasks and areas of housekeeping
•    Ensure all information is communicated correctly to the correct areas
•    Carry out and complete all daily assigned tasks as per resort standards
•    Assist with all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

  • Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods 
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling 
  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 30 pounds 
  • Remaining in a stationary position for long periods 
  • Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery 
  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
