Job Summary
The Counselor will be responsible for direct supervision of children and teens, ensuring that the program is offered to a defined standard of quality. The Counselor should have the ability to convey a sense of fun and enthusiasm to children and be a fast learner.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Work directly with Assistant Manager to supervise all Kids Only attendees on a daily basis
• Directly supervises a group of children and ensure their personal safety
• Delivers program that is fun and exciting to children through showmanship and entertaining presentation
• Leads various recreational, educational and interpretive programs and excursions for children
• Engages and involves children in all aspects of the program including fitness activities, arts and crafts, games, excursions, special events, culture activities and more
• Ensures good stewardship of supplies and resources
• Provides guest service through positive interaction with parents, children and teens and employs the we create joy philosophy at every interaction
• Promotes strong positive inter-departmental relations through respect for other areas of operation
• Completes daily tasks as assigned
• Communicates any problems or concerns with supervisors and managers on a daily basis
• To assist with any other duties as required by the Assistant Manager or another member of the management team
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
• 1-2 years of previous experience working with children in a similar environment such as kids camp, after school program, childcare, etc.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.

Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
- Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds
- Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
