Job Summary
The Banquet Manager is responsible for the successful planning, organization, and execution of banquet and group dining operations throughout One&Only Moonlight Basin. As a newly opened luxury resort, this role plays a key part in building the banquet operation from the ground up by recruiting, training, and developing the banquet team; establishing operational standards; organizing banquet equipment and storage; and ensuring all banquet spaces are properly set up to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Unlike traditional banquet operations, One&Only Moonlight Basin utilizes its signature restaurants as event venues. The Banquet Manager oversees banquet functions hosted in The Board Room, Akira Back, The Landing, The Pool Lounge, and Wildwood, working closely with restaurant leadership to coordinate seamless event execution while maintaining the highest luxury service standards. In addition to banquet responsibilities, this position provides operational leadership as a Floor Manager during periods when banquet events are not scheduled or when other restaurant managers are on approved leave, ensuring continuity of service across Food & Beverage operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Lead the daily planning, coordination, and execution of all banquet and private dining events throughout the resort.
· Recruit, onboard, train, coach, schedule, and develop the banquet service team.
· Establish and maintain luxury service standards, policies, and operating procedures for banquet operations.
· Build and organize banquet infrastructure, including equipment, inventory, storage areas, and operational systems.
· Maintain accurate inventories of banquet equipment, linens, china, glassware, silverware, furniture, and service supplies.
· Ensure banquet equipment is properly maintained, stored, and readily available for all events.
· Coordinate event logistics with Culinary, Stewarding, Restaurant Operations, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other resort departments.
· Conduct pre-event meetings to review event details, service expectations, staffing, and execution plans.
· Ensure banquet spaces are prepared according to event specifications, including room setup, décor coordination, audio-visual requirements, and guest flow.
· Oversee event execution to ensure exceptional guest service, attention to detail, and timely delivery of food and beverage service.
· Work collaboratively with restaurant managers to balance banquet operations within active restaurant environments.
· Monitor labor productivity and staffing levels to ensure operational efficiency while maintaining luxury service standards.
· Assist in developing banquet budgets, forecasting labor needs, and controlling departmental expenses.
· Maintain compliance with all health, sanitation, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly while creating memorable guest experiences.
· Complete post-event evaluations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
· Support departmental administrative responsibilities, including scheduling, payroll approvals, inventories, and performance documentation.
· Serve as Floor Manager for restaurant operations during periods without banquet events or when covering for managers on paid time off or other approved absences.

· Supervises, trains, directs, develops and manages colleagues.
· Applies creative solutions and purposes ideas to grow develop and improve the business.
· Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Outlets or other members of management
Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements
· Worked or interned in a leading luxury 5-star hotel for at least 3-5 years
· Must be very well groomed and presentable and be an inspiration to team members – always setting a good example.
· Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
· Previous banquet management experience strongly preferred.
· Experience managing events across multiple venues or outlets is preferred.
Outgoing, confident, good communication skills with the right attitude, who's flexible and a great team player who works well under pressure
· High attention to detail and commitment to luxury service excellence.
· Proficiency with banquet event orders (BEOs), event planning systems, and Microsoft Office. Strong financial acumen, including labor management, budgeting, and inventory control.High sense of responsibility
· Demonstrated success in hiring, training, and developing service teams.
· Self-motivated, high achiever
· Committed and passionate about Banquet Events.
· Able to walk several steps a day to move equipment between outlets. Resort have different buildings and walking long distances is required.

· Experience MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
- Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds
- Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
