Job Summary

The Manager, Lobby Bar & Lounge is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Dear Josephine and Moonshack outlets at One&Only Moonlight Basin. This role ensures an exceptional guest experience through consistently elevated standards of food and beverage quality, service, and hospitality. This individual will provide hands-on leadership to each respective team, driving operational excellence.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Dear Josephine and Moonshack outlets, ensuring colleague activities meet service standards
  • Manage the develpment and execution of innovative beverage programs, including beverage selections, cocktail menus, signature drinks, and seasonal offerings
  • Curate beverage offerings continuously, staying current on industry trends, new products, and emerging techniques
  • Support engaging beverage experiences, events, and activations that enhance the guest experience
  • Ensure the consistent delivery of all food & beverage offerings through menu awareness, recipe standards, quality control, and hands-on service leadership
  • Monitor guest feedback, proactively responding to guest questions, requests, and concerns
  • Lead, coach, and develop the outlet teams through regular briefings, training sessions, and performance reviews
  • Drive revenue through strategic pricing, menu engineering, inventory management, and cost control, maximizing profitability
  • Drive revenue through effective sales strategies, using upselling methods that integrate product knowledge and personalized recommendations
  • Monitor beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and stock levels to maintain product availability while minimizing waste and maximizing margins
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health requirements, and responsible alcohol service procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Outlets or other members of management

 

Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of management experience in a comparable role within an ultra-luxury hotel/resort or high-end bar/lounge
  • Extensive Food & Beverage experience, with strong knowledge of cocktail development, beverage programming, and elevated service delivery
  • Strong understanding of outlet operations, including financial performance, inventory control, and revenue generation
  • Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Adaptable with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

  • Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
