Job Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic luxury Spa Manager to lead the daily operations of a high-end spa, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and seamless execution of all wellness services. This role requires a passionate leader with a deep understanding of luxury hospitality, spa treatments, and wellness programs.

The Manager, Wellness will be responsible for overseeing staff performance, maintaining the highest service standards, optimizing revenue opportunities, and curating innovative wellness offerings. They will collaborate with various departments to enhance the overall guest journey, implement strategic marketing initiatives, and uphold the spa’s reputation as a premier wellness destination.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

Supporting Management of Spa Operations and Budgets
•    Assumes the responsibilities of the Spa Director in his/her absence.
•    Ensures all employees have the proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
•    Comprehends budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports to assist in financial management.
•    Manages supplies and equipment inventories within budget.
•    Maintains cleanliness of the spa, related areas, and equipment.
•    Understands the impact of department operations on the overall property financial goals and manages to achieve or exceed budgeted targets.

 

Ensuring and Delivering Exceptional Customer Service
•    Sets a positive example for guest relations.
•    Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
•    Handles guest problems and complaints professionally and effectively.
•    Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
•    Emphasizes guest satisfaction in all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement.
•    Strives to improve service performance and overall guest experience.

 

Conducting Human Resources Activities
•    Solicits employee feedback, utilizing an “open door” policy and reviewing employee satisfaction results to address concerns.
•    Ensures employees understand expectations and performance parameters.
•    Brings HR-related issues to the attention of the department manager and Human Resources as necessary.
•    Observes service behaviors of employees and provides constructive feedback.
•    Participates in employee progressive discipline procedures.
•    Supports an ongoing employee recognition program.
•    Reviews guest satisfaction results with employees and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
•    Supports a Spa orientation program to ensure new hires receive the appropriate training.
•    Supervises and conducts ongoing training initiatives.
•    Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees, encouraging teamwork.
•    Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes team contributions.
•    Ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently, supporting disciplinary procedures and documentation according to SOPs and LSOPs.
•    Assists the Spa Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the spa as necessary.

 

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Lead and develop a team of therapists, estheticians, and wellness professionals to deliver world-class spa experiences.
•    Drive revenue growth through innovative service offerings, retail strategies, and guest engagement.
•    Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating cutting-edge wellness techniques and holistic experiences.
•    Collaborate with marketing teams to promote spa services, seasonal treatments, and exclusive wellness events.
•    Maintain financial oversight, managing budgets, cost controls, and forecasting revenue opportunities.
•    Perform additional duties as assigned by management to contribute to the success of the spa.

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Proven experience in luxury spa or wellness management.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English; fluency in additional languages is a valuable asset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Positive, proactive attitude dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Skilled in addressing guest concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Strong leadership abilities, including experience in training, mentoring, and guiding colleagues.
  • Business acumen with experience in budgeting, revenue management, and retail sales.
  • Proficient in using standard office equipment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Capable of managing proforma schedules, coordinating vendor training, maintaining inventories, and coaching team members when necessary.
  • Ability to create and implement innovative wellness programs tailored to a high-end clientele.
