Job Summary

The Server (Breakfast) position is responsible for providing professional, attentive, and customer-focused service to all guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience from start to finish. By working closely with both the Food & Beverage and Culinary teams, this individual helps ensure service standards consistently exceed guest expectations. 

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Provide courteous and engaging service throughout all guests’ dining experience 

  • Remain attentive to guest preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions, providing informed and thoughtful recommendations 

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, staying current on daily specials, menu updates, and seasonal changes 

  • Offer personalized suggestions tailored to guests’ expectations to elevate their dining experience 

  • Contribute to a service culture centered on guest satisfaction 

  • Set table settings, ensuring presentation, organization, and cleanliness standards are met 

  • Keep workstations clean, orderly, and well-stocked 

  • Uphold strict hygiene and sanitation practices to comply with all health and safety regulations 

  • Collaborate effectively with front and heart-of-house colleagues to deliver timely and smooth service 

  • Foster a collaborative team working environment through open communication with and proactive support of colleagues 

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Restaurant or other members of the Management team 

 

Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements  

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar service role, preferably within a high-standard resort or upscale dining setting 

  • Prior experience working in a 5-star luxury hotel or resort is highly desirable 

  • Previous experience with POS systems, such as Micros, is advantageous 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment 

  • Composed under pressure, being able to deliver seamless service in fast-paced, high-demand situations

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

  • Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods 

  • Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling 

  • Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds 

  • Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
