Job Summary  

The IT Specialist Private Homes is responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users and managing the network infrastructure of the private homes development. The role is responsible for maintaining the continuity of IT services to private homes, providing support and escalate issues, responding to enquiries and service requests, and implementing new systems and services as well as providing end-user training. Any and all activities are to be in compliance with One&Only Resort standards of operations. 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Maintaining and configuring network components including switches and wireless access points 

  • Monitoring backups and conducting restores 

  • Monitoring the servers including storage and VMware 

  • Managing software deployments and upgrades 

  • Assisting in the implementation of major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages ensuring the timeframes are met 

  • Executing IT Service Desk tickets and requests for all applications including: 

  • Hotel management systems 

  • Guest internet and IP TV 

  • Guest home and guestroom AV systems 

  • Guest and admin IP telephony 

  • User access management for Active Directory and all applications 

  • Managing hardware lifecycles including network components, PC’s and mobiles, TVs 

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements 

  • Previous experience as an IT professional is required 

  • Excellent active network and infrastructure knowledge 

  • Hospitality IT experience preferred 

  • Certification and / or accreditation in IT or related fields from a recognized institute preferred 

  • Good communication and internal/external customer service skills 

  • A team player 

  • Ability to work autonomously and to manage own workload effectively 

  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is essential 

  • Ability to work under pressure 

  • Flexible approach to working hours and the ability to respond to urgent service issues and outages
