Job Summary

The Wellness Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the spa, ensuring an exceptional and seamless guest experience. This role includes overseeing all spa facilities and services, such as treatment rooms, gym, pool, and locker areas. They will ensure that all wellness programs, spa treatments, and services are delivered to the highest standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. 

 

Core responsibilities involve staff scheduling, managing reservations, inventory control, and driving revenue through the promotion of spa products and services. They play a vital role in team development by providing training, mentorship, and support while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Collaborating with the Manager/Director, the Wellness Supervisor works to enhance guest satisfaction, team performance, and financial success. 

 

 Key Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Manage all aspects of daily spa operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery in treatment rooms, gym, pool, locker areas, and reception. 

  • Supervise, motivate, and guide a team of spa professionals. Coordinate schedules, manage workloads, provide ongoing training and mentorship, and offer regular feedback to ensure high staff performance. 

  • Deliver exceptional client care by promptly addressing guest concerns and special requests. Create a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere to enhance the guest experience. 

  • Drive revenue by promoting spa services, treatments, and retail products. Monitor and analyze product sales performance, working closely with staff to maximize revenue. 

  • Ensure effective scheduling of spa reservations, facilitating the smooth execution of treatments and wellness services. Manage group bookings, special requests, and event planning as needed. 

  • Oversee inventory management, including treatment products, linens, towels, and other supplies. Ensure all areas are fully stocked and in good condition, placing orders as necessary. 

  • Ensure the spa operates in full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Maintain cleanliness and safety of all facilities, and ensure that staff follow proper hygiene practices. 

  • Assist with managing the spa’s budget, monitor revenue, and control costs to achieve financial targets. Implement strategies to boost revenue through services and product sales. 

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing staff with regular training in customer service, product knowledge, and spa-specific skills to enhance the guest experience. 

  • Work closely with the Manager/Director to execute strategies, achieve goals, and ensure efficient operations that enhance guest satisfaction and financial performance. 

  • Regularly review key performance indicators, guest feedback, and other metrics to assess service quality, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational enhancements. 

  • Address and resolve guest complaints in a professional and efficient manner. 

  • Ensure the spa ambiance is consistently inviting and aligned with brand standards. Regularly check that all areas of the spa are clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing for guests. 

  • Assist in executing marketing and promotional activities, including special offers, seasonal campaigns, and loyalty programs, to increase guest engagement and spa visibility. 

  • Perform other duties as requested by management to support the spa's smooth operation. Collaborate with vendors to manage retail operations and ensure exceptional guest service. 

  • Ensuring a high standard of service. Maintain ownership of treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-organized, and ready for guests. 

  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards in all areas. Follow procedures for lost property and maintain proper safety protocols. 

  • Maintain all areas in line with the brand’s standards, ensuring a consistently high-level experience for every guest. 

  • Maintain a positive attitude, professional grooming, body language, and tone, ensuring service is always aligned with the brand’s luxury standards. 

  • Consistently uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards across all areas of the spa, in accordance with established protocols.

  • Perform additional tasks as required to ensure the overall smooth operation of the hotel, contributing to an exceptional guest experience across all areas. 

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all spa operations during designated shifts, supervising staff, resolving guest issues, and ensuring efficient daily operations when senior management is unavailable. Uphold company policies and procedures, address any operational challenges, and consistently maintain high guest satisfaction levels. 

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Wellness or other members of management.

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements   

  • At least two years of experience in a guest-facing role in a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Previous experience in the wellness space is preferred.
  • Positive, proactive attitude dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences. 

  • Skilled in addressing guest concerns professionally and effectively. 

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English. 

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness, organization, and hygeine.

  • Strong leadership abilities, including experience in training, mentoring, and guiding colleagues.

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:   

  • Remaining in a stationary position for long periods
