Job Summary
The In-Room-Dinning Team Leader position that is responsible for the daily operations in Room Service when the Assistant IRD Manager is not present. Position helps to train and assist employees to follow standards in the delivery of food and beverage to guest rooms and cabins. They will work closely with the Culinary and Beverage teams to ensure One&Only service standards exceed the experience of the guest. Will work with the F&B Leadership team to establish trainings and implement plans that will help the team exceed the departmental goals, meet budget requirements, and ensure a good working environment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
•    Supervises the day-to-day operations when manager is not present. Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence. 
•    Administer property policies fairly and consistently. 
•    Communicate areas in need of attention to staff and follows up to ensure follow through. 
•    Empower employees to provide excellent customer service. 
•    Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels 
•    Interact with guests via phone or by accompanying server during meal delivery, to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels, and overall satisfaction. 
•    Set a positive example for guest relations. 
•    Handle guest problems and complaints. 
•    Participate in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed. 
•    Supervise daily shift operations and ensure compliance with all Room Service policies, standards and procedures. 
•    Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met. 
•    Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. 
•    Ensure compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures by training, supervising follow-up, and hands on management 
•    Create awareness of in-house VIPs and review names with staff members during pre-service meetings.  
•    Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensure employees do the same within the team. 
•    Ensure all Food Safety standards – HCCP / DIVERSEY are followed to the fullest. 
•    Continuously collect feedback from guests and report it back to the Management.
•    Assist with any other duties assigned.

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements  
•    At least 2 years’ experience at a similar level. 
•    Excellent Communication skills  
•    Workplace training from within a high standard hotel environment. 
•    Knowledge of catering operations and beverage practices within the catering industry.   
•    An understanding of the preparation, delivery and services associated with the highest standards found in international hospitality environment. 
•    Experience with Micros is preferred 
•    Experience in 5*, upmarket resort preferred.
