Job Summary
Coordinates and helps to deliver all learning and development programs for all colleagues to support the overall successful resort operation and team development. Assists with overseeing the quality assurance program, supporting the planning, developing, implementation and evaluation for the resort. Works hand in hand with the Manager, Learning, Development & Quality to ensure all objectives and outcomes are met.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with planning, developing, and conducting programs for all colleagues on a regular basis, including but not limited to the Kerzner orientation program, resort orientation program, department specific certification programs, technical skills and service culture training modules
- Assist with the preparation of training handouts, training support, and other training materials
- Assists with preparing monthly departmental learning activities and takes an active role in the preparation of the annual learning business plan and annual learning budget
- Coordinates and keeps appropriate records of all departments' monthly learning activities. Tracks all learning goal hours per colleague and department
- Manage LMS administration and reporting needs, including all training and compliance reports as required by the business, analyzing data to identify any areas of concern
- Monitor ongoing learning activities in every department and, if needed, provide learning support, such as co-facilitating or offering guidance in learning programs
- Compile reports, attendance records, departmental learning plans, and other relevant documentation
- Ensure all learning is conducted in adherence to policies, procedures, and One&Only standards
- Assist with keeping up-to-date training materials to suit organizational and resort needs
- In coordination with the Learning & Development Manager, maintain all internship and apprenticeship programs and their related tasks
- Provide support and organize in-house cross-training, as well as cross-training and professional development opportunities with other One&Only resorts and learning institutions
- Assist with identifying areas for improvement and work closely with department leaders for quality related training
- Works with all colleagues and department leaders to ensure service standards are implemented efficiently and always adhered to
- Assists with and conducts daily departmental audits, communicating results and action items to follow up on to all department leaders
- Keep the Learning, Development & Quality Manager informed on all related matters and communicate effectively with colleagues and departments to ensure smooth operations in Learning, Development & Quality
- Assist with compiling, reviewing and following up on GSQ results, Forbes Assessments and other quality assurance reports for performance and training needs by department
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in all assigned tasks to achieve the desired outcome in a timely manner
- Acts with integrity and leads by example

- Share knowledge and skills with colleagues and communicate effectively
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position and property goals
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the Learning, Development & Quality Manager or executive leadership team
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a luxury resort or hotel and/or in related industry like tourism, food services and/or relevant experience in the position applying for.
- Speaks, reads and writes English fluently (additional foreign language would be an advantage)
- Outgoing personality

- Guest oriented, strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Should be able to work long hours independently (with minimum supervision)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Strong background and/or interest in learning and development, training/teaching or quality assurance
- College degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management or related field, preferred

Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
- Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
- Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 30 pounds
- Remaining in a stationary position for long periods
- Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery
- Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
