Job Summary
The Technician, Facilities is responsible for the maintenance of mechanical systems, equipment, and devices to guarantee proper and optimal functionality. This individual’s primary responsibilities include daily on-site inspections, interventions, and reporting. The Technician, Facilities is also responsible for strictly adhering to all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct daily on-site inspections of mechanical systems (HVAC, DHW, pool & fountain, sprinkler, LPG, and kitchen equipment) while filling out checklists and acting according to the instructions of direct superiors

Assist with monitoring, testing, and treating water in on-site pools and other water features to ensure compliance with health and safety standards

Monitor utility consumption (water, heating and cooling, and LPG), immediately issuing a report if any deviation is noted

Search for potential improvements to reduce consumption levels

Report failures or breakages of mechanical systems, equipment, and devices immediately

Respond promptly and accurately to maintenance requests and work orders

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatuses, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown, performing repairs on or replacing faulty elements using hand and power tools

Follow the preventative maintenance calendar, ensuring all activities are performed accordingly

Conduct weekly homecare inspections of assigned Private Homes, ensuring all systems are in optimal condition

Respond to maintenance requests from both the Homeowners and Rental Guests of Private Homes

Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks for Private Homes, along with any additional projects as assigned

Collaborate with superiors to accomplish departmental tasks and goals

Report completed and uncompleted tasks to superiors and other relevant parties in a timely manner

Record all activities in maintenance software platforms

Perform inventory checks of both personal and company-provided tools, along with ensuring their proper condition

Clean and organize technical rooms and workshop areas

Remain familiar with all building areas (Front of House and Heart of House), all pieces of equipment, and installations (technical rooms, utility meters, pipe and duct routing, heating and cooling, ventilation, water supply, sewage, grease separations, kitchen equipment, spa and gym equipment, elevators, sprinklers, and other devices)

Remain familiar with main shut offs (water, heating and cooling, electricity, and LPG), reacting quickly in emergency situations

Understand safety standards and legal requirements thoroughly, adhering to them in daily activities

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Manager, Facilities or other members of the Management team
Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements
-
Strong technical knowledge with proven hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general maintenance is required
-
CPO certification is a plus
-
Prior experience working in hospitality is preferred

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals

Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems

Proficient in both spoken and written English
