Job Summary

The Mini Bar Attendant is responsible for ensuring all mini bar requests are obtained from the Detail Arrivals Report, all mini bars are stocked according to property standards, and all sales are charged to the guest's account immediately.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect arrival, departure, VIP, and mini bar request listings from Reception before replenishing rooms.
  • Ensure mini bars are clean and stocked according to One&Only Cape Town standards, SOPs, and product lists.
  • Replenish mini bars to par level daily and charge all consumed items immediately to the guest's account.
  • Record opening stock, current stock, replenished stock, and actual stock accurately on stock sheets.
  • Report to the IRD Supervisor or Manager at the start of each shift.
  • Collect trolley keys from Reception, count and record opening stock with a colleague, and stock trolleys to the required par level.
  • Record all mini bar stock in guest rooms and ensure all sales are charged immediately.

General

  • Learn and follow the hotel's fire and safety procedures and operate firefighting equipment.
  • Be familiar with hotel facilities, daily events, and functions to assist guests.
  • Perform duties as scheduled and attend all training sessions and briefings.
  • Ensure hotel equipment is maintained and report any issues to the IRD Manager.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary workplace language.
  • Positive, energetic, self-motivated, and presentable.
  • Accurate numeracy skills, including addition and subtraction.
