  • Job Summary 

The Bastien’s studio Supervisor has the role to assist the Assistant Manager or Manager in the Operation and administration 

tasks. He/She is an important link between the team and the Management, He/She needs to be quite close from the team 

members and link with the manager. BSS ensures that team members have a good relation and work in harmony. 

BSS will be responsible of the daily operation of the team as looking after presence, rota, respect of grooming, display, setup, 

treatment’s SOPs. 

BSS is responsible for the training of BTE and BT1. 

Also BSS is involved in the basic administration of the Studio as updating all reports on the computer, and is well aware of 

the daily financial figures to be able to drive the team on the way to reach the target. 

BSS will have to take some descision when small issues are happening or guest’s complaint. However he/she has to communicate it directly to the manager.Key Duties and Responsibilities 

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES: 

 

Treatments, services, retail 

1. Execute and explain perfectly all treatments 

2. Recommend all products to the guests 

3. Make sure about the quality and the procedure of the services provided in the studio 

4. Make sure of the information given in the studio by his/her direct team members or by the other department’s 

team members 

5. Make sure that the products are well presented, explained and sold. 

6. Check on the display of the products (pro & retail) (cleanliness, tidiness, validity date,…) 

 

Team, Standards, connection between departments 

7. The team rota will need to be predone monthly and given to the Assistant manager for review 15 days prior to 

the beginning of the rota, BSS check the good venue of the team members and ensure they are aware of their 

duty timing. 

8. BSS Knows and checks all standards from the treatment bed set-up to the pantry display. 

9. Present a perfect grooming in front of the guest (referring the standard) and ensure the team does too. 

10. Keep a great attitude with guest and colleague. 

11. Represent with perfection the Pedi:Mani:Cure Studio within the resort, making sure all staffs are well aware of 

what is the concept, the treatments, the products. Develop the link between the Studio and the other 

departments (ease the bookings, the promotion…) 

12. Create a strong team by doing or following a continuous training with BTE,1&2, assists to the appraisal. 

13. BSS needs also to be close to the team member. Without interfering with the private life BSS helps the team 

member in her/his new life within the resort and the new country (different culture…) 

 

Financial, stock, guest Data Base 

14. Overview daily the financial results by checking on the revenues, variance with the previous year and the 

targets. Important to understand the MTD and YTD notion and review it with the team to get them involved in 

the daily target. 

15. Check on a daily basis the stock of professional and retail products. Inform the management in case of need of 

reorder. 

16. Update the guest data base and ensure it is right. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Organization, Communication, Reporting, Implication 

17. On a communication point of view, BSAM needs to contribute in making the hotel and the staff has the right 

perception of the Studio, what is done. 

18. A daily meeting with the team needs to be ensured, BSS will do this meeting if the subordinates are not able to 

do so. 

19. BSS give a daily update to the BSAM/M. 

20. Keep all information confidential.
