Key responsibilities:

  • Perform daily audits of all hotel revenue streams and statistics from from POS to PMS to GL;
  • Ensure all revenue transactions are supported by appropriate source documentation;
  • Verify room rates, packages, complimentary rooms, house use rooms, and discounts for appropriate authorization;
  • Reconcile Guest ledger, City ledger, Deposit ledgers, Revenue interfaces, investigate & report discrepancies promptly;
  • Verify the accuracy of revenue mappings between operational systems and accounting systems;
  • Month-end processes i.e. re-allocations of expenses and accruals;
  • Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts;
  • Assist with collecting and preparing audit deliverables;
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and internal controls;
  • Assist operational departments in resolving revenue-related discrepancies;
  • Promote revenue integrity and compliance across the hotel.

 

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Diploma or Degree in Finance - Hospitality Management or related field;
  • 3-5 years' experience in Income Audit, Revenue Audit or Hotel Accounting;
  • Experience within a five-star hotel environment preferred;
  • Working knowledge of hospitality accounting principles and revenue controls;
  • Experience with hotel management systems and accounting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Accurate & deadline oriented.
