Job summary
The Pool Operator is responsible for maintaining swimming pools to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This includes testing and balancing water chemistry, cleaning pools, inspecting and maintaining equipment, diagnosing and repairing faults, and assisting with the installation of pool systems and equipment when required. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and providing professional, courteous service to guests and clients while ensuring an exceptional pool experience. .
Qualifications and skills
To be an effective pool technician, candidates should have:
- Education: Pool Operator Certificate/ Relevant Training and/or 2/3 experience
- Technical knowledge: A solid understanding of water chemistry, filtration systems, and pool mechanics is essential.
- Problem-solving: Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
- Physical stamina: The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, and to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Communication skills: Effective communication is needed to interact with clients and other team members.
- Work ethic: The capacity to work independently on a route or collaboratively as part of a team, while remaining detail-oriented and organized
