About The Role 

To lead the engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel along with the DOE in order to ensure a high standard of building, machinery, plant, furniture, fixture, and equipment in all the departments. Achieve total guest satisfaction and organizational profitability through effective utilization of all resources.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Implement systems and procedures that ensure the safety of guests, employees, plants, machinery, and property including compliance.
• Staffing and scheduling of the department and allocation of duties.
• Develop systems and procedures that achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Facilitate learning and development for all the team members of the department.
• Performance Appraisal/ Management of the staff in the department.

Operational Responsibilities 

• Fully responsible of handling the team of PVMP in guest rooms & colleague’s accommodations, construction / refurbishment projects, fabrication projects and swimming pools operation in the hotel.
• Need to work closely with section leader & team leader to ensure all the preventive maintenance schedules are complete on time and upkeep the records to the system logs.
• Implement the preventive maintenance plan and upkeep of all the engineering services.
• Implement upgradation and replacement program for engineering systems and equipment.
• Execute energy conservation programs to monitor HLP consumption on a daily basis.
• Ensure that all the engineering & maintenance activities/systems adhere to the standards/efficiency/productivity levels that have been set for the unit.
• Recommend changes in processes, materials, and equipment, in order to enhance service levels and improve operational efficiency.
• Responsible for maintaining the physical plant and monitoring the operating efficiency of the plant.
• Maintain the fire safety system through regular inspection of fire alarm and sprinkler system.
• Co-ordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments on preventive maintenance of rooms and other repair work.
• Maintain the complaint management & maintenance request system and ensure timely response to all the complaints and maintenance requests.
• Ensure timely receiving of material & spares as per the standardized specifications.
• Ensure that the government regulations for boilers, electrical installation and environment are strictly followed.
• Keep informed of industry innovations and advances in technical and property management fields.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, and data to plan projects.
• Understand diagrams, drafts, flow-charts, and other Information and documentation.
• Drafting & annotation in AutoCAD program.
• Perform or oversee, surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
• Test Building materials, such as concrete, asphalt, or steel, for use in particular Projects.
• Perform or oversee soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations.
• Experience with reinforced concrete and steel design.
• Manage and monitor each Stage of project.
• Experience with on-site construction observation and management.
• Develop designs, layouts, and design calculations.
• Develop project scope and timeline.
• Ensure job sites meet legal guidelines, and health and safety requirements.
• Assess environmental impact and risks.
• Prepare conclusion and analysis reports.

About You 

• Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel.
• Must Hold Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• International experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours.
