Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan for the Asia market, identifying key opportunities in corporate, MICE, leisure, and wholesale segments.
  • Proactively source new business from corporate accounts, travel agencies, TMCs, DMCs, and group/event planners across Asia.
  • Manage relationships with existing accounts to maximize production and share of wallet.
  • Lead the hotel’s presence and collaboration with the media and marketing agency in China, ensuring campaigns and brand messaging are aligned with the hotel’s objectives.
  • Represent the property in trade shows, roadshows, and sales missions across Asia to position the hotel within key feeder markets.
  • Collaborate with Global Sales Offices and in-market representatives to ensure synergy and performance consistency.
  • Develop tactical initiatives and promotions in collaboration with the marketing team to stimulate demand from Asia.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence updates.
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and account data in the CRM system.
  • Ensure that all sales activities comply with brand standards and commercial policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tourism boards, travel consortia, and airline partners to increase brand reach.
  • Support PR initiatives and host familiarization trips and media visits from the region.
  • Attend and contribute to the hotel’s commercial and strategy meetings as required.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record in developing the Asia and China markets, with a strong network of contacts.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (verbal and written); additional Asian languages are an advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing media and digital marketing agencies in China is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and intercultural skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Opera PMS, and CRM tools.
