Job Summary
As Cluster Director, Human Resources you will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall HR strategy and vision, aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. The role oversees two properties based in Montenegro and reports to the General Manager while driving the hotel's people strategy encompassing employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training, recruitment, housing, wellness, and colleague engagement.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain hotel People Plan ensuring alignment with property goals and business objectives
- Implement sustainable strategy for seasonality of employment addressing peak and off-peak staffing needs, review manning levels and recruitment strategies ensuring optimal staffing
- Develop annual HR Strategy for property aligned with brand standards and business requirements
- Serve as a strategic business partner to operations, ensuring seamless delivery of HR services
- Ensure disciplinary processes are maintained and fair procedures followed by all Heads of Department while maintaining 100% compliance with Kerzner International disciplinary and grievance policies
- Ensure smooth workflow of HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, filing, and payroll administration while providing advisory service on HR SOPs, Kerzner International policies, local labor law, and staffing matters
- Partner with Heads of Department and Executive Committee to achieve key performance indicators including GOP, LTO, and Colleague Engagement Survey results.
- Ensure appropriate training for HODs and Supervisors on performance management, maintain active Talent Reviews and follow up on Development Plans
- Maintain colleague communication platforms ensuring accessibility, facilitate regular colleague meetings and engagement activities
- Prepare annual HR Budget including training, recruitment, housing, and general expenses
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; HR certification preferred
- 8 years of progressive HR experience in luxury hospitality
- Prior experience as standalone HR Manager or Director in large 5-star resort essential
- Robust knowledge of local labor law and employment regulations
- Proven track record as strategic business partner to operations
- Strong employee relations expertise with complex colleague matter resolution
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills
- Strong analytical abilities with HR metrics and reporting experience
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution
