About the Role

As a Commis 1 at The Burger Joint, your primary responsibilities include upholding and supporting the establishment's quality standards, actively participating in cooking duties during operational hours, assisting the Demi Chef De Partie  in kitchen operations, fostering a positive and professional kitchen environment, strictly adhering to safety and food hygiene policies, maintaining culinary standards for recipes and plating, collaborating with the Stewarding team to ensure kitchen cleanliness, overseeing equipment maintenance, expediting orders on the line when necessary, adhering to setup and breakdown schedules, following control and key procedures, and ensuring accurate ordering, receiving, and storage of quality ingredients while maximizing production efficiency. Additional duties as assigned are also part of your role.

 

About You

The ideal candidate for the position of Commis 1 should possess a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in international cuisine within a five-star hotel setting. Must exhibit excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to thrive in a multicultural environment. A solid foundation in basic food preparation, presentation, and preservation is essential, coupled with a basic understanding of hygiene and safety procedures. The candidate should bring a keen culinary acumen to contribute effectively to the kitchen team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes in adherence to established standards.
