About the Role:
The Freight Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting inbound shipments for Atlantis Dubai to ensure timely delivery in compliance with Incoterms requirements. Acting as the operational link between Procurement, suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders, the role focuses on shipment visibility, delivery control, and issue resolution.
Key responsibilities include tracking shipments from dispatch to final delivery, prioritising urgent consignments, aligning delivery schedules, monitoring transit performance, selecting appropriate transport modes, and proactively resolving delays. The role also ensures the accuracy of shipping documentation, regulatory compliance, and the correct reconciliation and payment of MOFAIC approvals, insurance, customs duties, and VAT.
About You:
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree and is highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented, with strong planning and communication skills. They have relevant experience in a large, complex organisation and are passionate, friendly, and dedicated. The successful candidate demonstrates initiative by proactively following up, expediting tasks, and independently resolving issues.
