About The Role

  • Interacts and engages with guests in an engaging, enthusiastic and professional manner, sharing information about marine life and aquarium theming.
  • Maintains basic knowledge of marine animal species, aquarium systems, animal care, conservation threats and actions.
  • Delivers formal and informal conservation education programming and marine animal activities upon the operation's needs, to small or large groups.
  • Actively approaches and interacts with guests within the Aquarium
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment for guests and abides by correct animal welfare practices.
  • Utilizes learning resources to learn and apply detailed knowledge of marine life and aquarium theming. 
  • Accepts constructive feedback on frequent trainings and assessments.
  • Conducts research to assimilate and deliver presentations to enhance product knowledge and presentation skills. .
  • Facilitates guest surveys and gathers feedback to ensure guests leave aquarium and experience having made a positive impact about saving our oceans.
  • Maintains personal and professional development.
  • Keeps current with the Company’s facilities, events, and related services.
  • Complies to all information contained in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and department manuals.
  • Delivers service standards that exceeds department targets for Quality assurance guest surveys.
  • Attends meetings and trainings as requested.
  • Performs other reasonable duties throughout the division as requested by management.  

About You

  • Engaging personality with effective delivery qualities, such as public speaking and guest service
  • Outgoing, great interpersonal skills, positive attitude, self-driven and motivated
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge on marine life and conservation
  • Hospitality, biology, teaching degree, certificate or equivalent is desirable.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Literate. Must be able to speak clearly, read and write English
