Job Summary
To actively contribute to the successful achievement of organizational goals by linking brand strategy with all Wellness and Longevity hubs across the resorts. The role ensures that all wellness and longevity operations perform at their full potential, are financially sustainable and profitable, and deliver exceptional experiences that enhance brand positioning, guest loyalty, and long-term value.
The role supports the evolution from traditional wellness offerings to integrated wellness, recovery, performance, and longevity programming across the portfolio.
Key Responsabilities
Operations
- Conduct monthly performance reviews based on P&L calls against global Wellness & Longevity KPIs, including: Capture ratio, Average spend per guest and Average Treatment Rate, Retail %, No. of Treatments, Revenue per SQM
- Provide strategic advice and action to assist wellness and longevity operations that are underperforming and who have been identified as “opportunity” operations by monitor results, and make recommendations for betterment.
- Establish and implement operating manuals, policies, protocols, and safety standards for both traditional wellness and advanced longevity services.
- Develop and implement retail strategies aligned with longevity positioning, including supplements, recovery tools, and branded wellness products.
- Define role expectations and candidate specifications to recruit best-fit candidates for key wellness and longevity management roles including but not limited to Wellness Director, Spa Manager, Fitness Manager, Senior Therapist etc. including the review of job descriptions within the wellness and longevity portfolio.
Development
- In collaboration with the VP of Wellness & Longevity, Technical Services, and approved consultants, develop and execute integrated Wellness, Performance, Recovery, and Longevity concepts for all new projects.
- Function as liaison between third-party operators, medical/wellness partners, and General Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, resolving critical path challenges.
- Engage with stakeholders and core teams for development projects as the Wellness & Longevity Director. Conduct site visits as required, including taskforce roles at property level.
- Support the development of Longevity Hubs within the portfolio, including diagnostics, assessments, recovery modalities, movement etc.
- Research, evaluate, and introduce emerging trends and evidence-based practices in - Functional and integrative wellness, Recovery and regeneration plus Movement and performance.
- Build and maintain a global network of specialized talent including Longevity Directors, functional medicine practitioners, recovery specialists, movement experts, and high-performance coaches.
Product
- Provide strategic and operational support for existing hotels, including wellness and longevity renovations, repositioning, and capital investment planning.
- Review business plans and ROI models for as and when needed based off Kerzner Financial calendar and projects.
- Support OS&E selection for new openings and renovations, working alongside the Kerzner Procurement Team.
- Drive internal wellbeing initiatives for colleagues, aligning employee wellbeing to HR Initiatives and colleague engagement.
- Working with the VP of Wellness and Longevity, partner with Sales & Marketing to position the brand globally as a leader in Wellness and Longevity, through a robust PR strategy aligning with resort storytelling and activation.
Quality
- Drive service excellence and experiential quality to achieve and exceed Forbes and LQA standards, with action plans developed where required.
- Conduct annual audits aligned with Wellness & Longevity brand standards across all properties using the mystery shopping platforms.
- Based on audit findings, implement structured improvement plans and monitor progress in collaboration with property leadership.
- Be an active part in setting big picture planning during the annual Strategic Business Planning (SBP) process in alignment with the VP, Wellness and Longevity.
- In collaboration with the Global Quality Director, analyze Wellness and Longevity guest feedback to drive continuous improvement, adaptation, and insight-led decision-making.
- Recommend and prioritize CAPEX investments that enhance guest outcomes, longevity positioning, operational efficiency, and health & safety standards.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- 10+ years of Luxury/Ultra Luxury Wellness, Spa, Movement or Longevity Operations
- Certification within Wellness/Spa Operations or Business Management
- Experience in multi pre-openings and refurbishments
- Knowledge of audit and quality control with the LQA or Forbes platforms.
- Knowledge of wellness design including layout, functionality, design, OS&E, FF&E.
- Knowledge of financial systems including P&L, budgeting, performance review.
- Knowledge of retail operations and inventory systems.
- Effective leadership skills and a strong work ethic.
- Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
- Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
- Ability to show initiative and make decisions.
- Normal work hours: Varied to include nights, weekends, and holidays and continuous during business travel.
- Proficient in Wellness and Movement POS and Operational Systems e.g. OPERA, ZENOTI, BOOK4TIME etc. as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
