About The Role

Head Sommelier is responsible for the restaurant’s wine stock and the supervision of the day-to-day operation. The individual must always maintain the highest level of service. Furthermore, the individual must ensure that the wine list is internationally recognized by providing a constant variety of all styles and prices of wines. The offered and executed service is highly professional and personalized. The individual must ensure proper sanitation in the restaurant under personal jurisdiction, adequate stock of wine, internal departmental coordination, and training. Moreover, full responsibility for the operating equipment, including its inventory levels of wine service is required. Head Sommelier will display creativity in wine sales programs and ensure to exceed revenue budgets set my Senior Management. Set service standard procedures will be ensured by directing, supervising, and motivating the service team to perform the highest level of service. Finally, the Head Sommelier will communicate with guests and share the feedback with Restaurant General Manager to ensure high level of service/food quality and guest’s satisfaction are maintained at all times.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in luxury restaurant or hotels, having worked at least 3  years in a similar role in a Michelin starred restaurant or 50’s Best Restaurant or high-end restaurant. Ideally you will have experience preparing wine lists, maintaining wine stock and training staff demonstrating your expertise.
