Job Summary
Primary objective of this role is to assist in Health & Safety Department’s documentation and administration as guided by H&S Manager. Health & Safety Intern will be reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the documentation tasks and record keeping as required by Health Safety and Sustainability policies and framework of the hotel.
- As guided, assist in recording Health & Safety incidents, analyze incident data and update the incident dashboard in presentable formats.
- Assist in identifying Health & Safety training needs, developing monthly Health & Safety training calendar, track trainings and creation of customized internal training materials.
- Supports the coordination and communication of Health & Safety Department as guided by Department head, such as scheduling meetings and recording meeting minutes, creation of customized Health & Safety posters, QR codes etc.
- Conduct Health Safety and sustainability surveys in the operations and assist in organizing awareness campaigns under the guidance of H&S manager.
- Assist in creation of monthly Health Safety and sustainability inspection calendar, support H&S manager in internal audits and H&S performance reviews.
- As and when required, under the guidance of Department head, join the investigation, evidence collection, and follow ups of corrective actions by various action owners.
- Systematically collect required sustainability performance data from relevant Departments and update the folders of digital documents.
- Assist in Health Safety and Sustainability risk assessment and documentation.
- Support in preparation for external audits compliance with audit standards.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Graduation / bachelor’s degree.
- One year of industrial experience in Health & Safety projects preferably in Hospitality.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office programs, MS Excel, PowerPoint and data management.
- Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.
