The Manager, Global Tax will report to the Director, Global Tax across global tax compliance, tax accounting and property-related transactions for the Group. This role is intended to be a hands‑on technical manager who can both execute and critically review advisor work, coordinate across Finance and Legal, and support transaction‑related tax analysis and implementation.
The role is Dubai‑based and will have exposure to Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, with a particular focus on owned real estate, development projects, acquisitions, and disposals alongside ongoing compliance obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review multi‑jurisdiction corporate tax compliance with external advisors
- Oversee tax filing calendars, estimates, extensions, and related risk escalation
- Support UAE VAT and other indirect tax compliance matters
- Assist with tax audits, authority queries, and controversy support
- Prepare and review tax provisions under IFRS (and US GAAP where relevant)
- Act as a key tax contact for Group Finance and external auditors
- Support tax aspects of property acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and joint ventures
- Review transaction documents (e.g., SPAs, SHAs, development agreements) from a tax perspective
- Analyze transaction‑related taxes, including withholding taxes, transfer taxes, VAT, and capital gains
- Coordinate and review external advisor work on compliance and transactions
- Support transfer pricing documentation and cross‑border tax matters
- Monitor tax law developments and support global tax policy and governance initiatives
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
- Minimum six years tax experience, big four and in-house tax experience required
- CPA, ACCA, Masters of Tax, or similar professional tax qualification required
- Knowledge of tax software programs, Onesource or Corp Tax preferred
- Excel and MS Word proficient
