About the Role

 

The Manager of Global Revenue Analytics’ role is to enable resources and strategies to assist the extended Revenue Resort teams in their day to day.
The role will maintain and oversee all RM system support, evaluation and training of resort revenue leaders, and work directly with functional leaders in the properties to help direct and define the needed supporting analytics as it relates to hotel management / operations and revenue optimization.
The role will work directly with executives across all properties and departments to develop strategies, tactics and tools to optimize revenues.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Act as the primary contact for all revenue management and revenue optimization tool partners from contracting to account management. 
  • Responsible for understanding new developments in the market and discuss new options that might be more suitable for the company brands. 
  • Responsible for Revenue related (upselling tool, RMS, Lighthouse, CoStar etc.) system and tools deployment at all applicable resorts.
  • Act as a knowledge expert and a highly informed communicator on both internal and external revenue management issues.
  • Provide property support in the absence of a revenue manager, task force or training
  • Conduct remote and onsite revenue management audits
  • Prepare, advise and assist the property teams with their annual pricing process
  • Prepare, advise and assist the property teams with their annual budget process
  • Assist in maintaining & developing the global Kerzner revenue management academy across total hotel revenue management
  • Ensure the resorts submit their global reports accurately and liaise with the resorts if this is not the case and provide training
  • Ensure the resorts are utilizing the tools provided by the global office to their optimal capacities
  • Ensure the resorts are aware of the SOPs and P&Ps in place and that these are followed
  • Create additional SOPs and P&Ps as needed
  • Provide analytical data such as: competitor analysis, environmental scanning, market modelling, pricing control and new pricing concepts
  • Track any adhoc promotions and contractual offers by resorts
  • Stay always up to date with market intelligence
  • Attend business reviews and/or strategy meetings to support the resorts as needed
  • Support opening resorts on set-up, configuration and training as needed
  • Support Global Commercial strategies by being up to date with Global Sales, Global Marketing, Global PR&Comms teams.
  • Work closely with Global Business analytics team to identify and address business needs.
  • Work closely with Global Distribution to identify and address business needs.

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements 

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of hotel revenue management experience required. 5 years preferred.
  • College degree (BS/BA) preferred.
  • Must be able to guide, direct, and deploy Rooms revenue strategies with minimal direction.
  • Experience in Food & Beverage Revenue Management.
  • Skilled in analysis, problem solving and decision making. 
  • Above average Excel knowledge; extremely comfortable compiling and manipulating data.
  • Business Analytics knowledge is a plus.
  • Aptitude to perform numerical analysis of data and formulate conclusions and solutions.
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills in English (additional languages valued) 
  • Track record of working collaboratively with others to achieve desired results. 
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations, namely with senior stakeholders
