About The Role


The Manager, Web Technology is responsible for the oversight and management of our global websites and related systems. This position reports to the Director, Web Technology. This person works closely with internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic direction and guidance on our websites and related applications (i.e. Mobile app).


Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • Provide guidance and direction to internal and external stakeholders regarding Apps, websites and related systems
  • Responsible for the Apps and Website ecosystem, including development, upgrades and ongoing maintenance and support
  • Manage content for our global corporate websites
  • Ensure all new development are fully documented and training material is provided
  • Ensure quick and appropriate resolution for issues impacting the website environment
  • Manage multiple projects and prioritize competing development priojects for optimal output
  • Communicate development progress and highlight any timeline or budget overrun
  • Track own and team’s/vendor’s projects, escalate and communicate any issues
  • Analyse and track website performace and ensure SLAs are being met
  • Prepare, maintain and deliver training, both remote and on-site, for Content Managers and Digital leaders for all brands, including new properties, new features and recurring best practices
  • Maintain configuration standards for both Website Administration and for business processes (content management, image management, meta data standards, SEO best practices, etc.)
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of our websites, and liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Help prepare budgets, CAPEX and OPEX for the financial year.
  • Help prepare tender packages, RFP’s, RFQ’s and RFI’s and manage projects.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Meet and coordinate with Business leaders on regular basis to understand requirements and plan for the future project needs
  • Adhere to industry Project Management and development standards
  • Work with key IT stakeholders to insure seamless integration with resort systems, both internal and external
  • Manage relationship with key business stakeholders, including Brand and Corporate levels
  • Engage with the leadership team, departments, and global IT to identify project opportunities.
  • Act as back-up for the hotel’s local website and oversee all administrative functions to insure optimal performance and security across the platform
  • Manage all website development projects for Kerzner and ensure best practices are utilized by all parties
  • Responsible for overall performance of the e-commerce platform utilizing tools like TrueSight and Keynote


Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements


  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

  • Analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of process improvement and Agile Project management methodology
  • Thorough knowledge of infrastructure design and configuration
  • Understanding of CRS technologies including interfaces with POS and PMS
  • Understanding of reservation transactions flow and payment gateways
  • Understanding of program languages
  • Deep understanding website technology
  • Understand IT process and administrative tasks
  • Understand Hospitality Operations, Hospitality Applications and related Hardware.
  • Project management related certification recommended (i.e. PMP)
  • Minimum of 5 year experience in website development management (can be outside of hospitality industry) required
  • Minimum of 5 year experience in IT Hospitality Management preferred
