In-Room Dining Order Taker

We are seeking a highly service-oriented and detail-focused In-Room Dining Order Taker to join our Food and Beverage team. This role is responsible for delivering a seamless and personalized guest experience by efficiently handling room service orders and ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently met.

As the first point of contact for guests placing in-room dining requests, you will create a warm and welcoming interaction, accurately process orders, and coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls for in-room dining orders in a professional and engaging manner
  • Provide detailed menu guidance, make recommendations, and promote daily specials and upselling opportunities
  • Accurately input orders into the system and communicate special requests, dietary requirements, and allergies to the kitchen
  • Coordinate with service and kitchen teams to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
  • Monitor order progress and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with care and efficiency
  • Maintain product knowledge of menus, promotions, and hotel offerings
  • Ensure adherence to service standards, hygiene, and food safety procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
  • Excellent communication and telephone etiquette skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
