About The Role
The Senior Aquarist provides healthy and sanitary living conditions, proper nutrition and consistent care for all marine and freshwater animals. This includes feeding schedules, food preparation, daily maintenance of in-tank and external facilities, water analysis and animal observations. Follows best animal welfare practices in accordance with international standards. Interacts with the public where necessary to provide meaning and memorable experiences.
About You
We're looking for an experienced professional with a degree in Biology, Zoology, Marine Science or related field and/or knowledge and skills equivalent to 4 years aquarium experience. Additionally, you must have a PADI Rescue Scuba Certification. You should have extensive knowledge of aquarium species including habitat preferences, behaviors, feeding and nutrition requirements. We're looking for candidates able to provide clear instructions, training and follow up to all husbandry and guest facing colleagues and who possess solid administrative abilities accompanying a strong customer focus. You will continuously look for ways to deliver everlasting memories and pursue professional development.
