Job Summary

The Senior Director, Corporate Finance serves as a key strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer, playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing the financial strategy for the real estate and hospitality portfolio. This position leads a team that manage the overarching corporate finance function, statutory reporting, and financial governance across the corporate entities, holding companies, and regional offices. Working in close collaboration with the CFO and senior leadership, the Senior Director drives financial performance, reinforces global internal controls, and supports value creation across the Group.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Corporate Finance Operations and Month End Close

  • Lead the end-to-end corporate finance function, overseeing daily operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset management, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger maintenance, and Tax Compliance (VAT and Corporate Tax).
  • Own, standardize, and accelerate the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for Corporate entities, Holding Companies, and Regional Sales Offices.
  • Manage revenue recognition accounting in compliance with relevant standards for construction contracts, branding/license/royalty agreements, and technical service agreements.
  • Review and approve the payroll processing across Corporate and Regional Sales Offices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct rigorous reviews of balance sheet reconciliations and driving prompt resolution of open items.
  • Maintain robust financial controls within the Corporate and Regional Sales Office entities.

 

Planning, Analysis and Strategic Business Partnering

  • Lead the annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and monthly variance analysis for Corporate entities, Regional Sales Offices, and Holding Companies.
  • Act as a strategic finance business partner to Corporate Department Heads, collaborating cross-functionally to identify cost optimization opportunities, drive operational efficiencies, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc financial reporting requests from the Shareholders / Executive Leadership.

 

Group Statutory Reporting

  • Own the end to end quarterly and annual consolidated Group reporting to the Shareholder, ensuring strict reporting accuracy and delivery deadlines.
  • Lead the completion and sign-off of statutory financial statements (consolidated / standalone) across the Group’s diverse jurisdictions, ensuring strict alignment with IFRS, US GAAP, and local statutory frameworks.
  • Serve as the technical lead on complex accounting treatments, asset impairment evaluations, and group-wide valuation models.
  • Manage relationships with external audit partners, resolving complex technical accounting issues and leading the consolidated and standalone audit processes for the Group.

 

Corporate Strategic Support

  • Primary corporate finance lead for the shareholders, and joint ventures colleagues.
  • Drive the review of Due Diligence reports, business valuations and Share / Asset Purchase Agreements to support the strategic growth plan of the Group.
  • Support financial and legal entity restructuring initiatives across Group entities to optimize corporate structures, maximize tax efficiency, reduce operational costs, and mitigate overall risk exposure.
  • Lead system implementation and improvement projects across the Group.
  • Support finance leadership with ad-hoc corporate strategic projects.   

 

Group Governance and Compliance

  • Design, implement, and enforce robust accounting policies, financial SOPs, and delegation of authority frameworks across the Corporate entities.
  • Maintain global financial compliance across multiple jurisdictions, managing relationships and reporting requirements with regulatory bodies, legal authorities, and banking partners.
  • Establish risk management frameworks to systematically identify, assess, and mitigate corporate financial and operational risks.

  

Team Leadership and Talent Development

  • Manage, mentor, and elevate the Corporate Finance team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous development, engagement, and operational excellence.

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • 10 years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, preferably in hospitality
  • Experience and knowledge of Real estate
  • Experience of working in corporate office of large business Groups.
  • Experience of working in ERPs and reporting tool like, Oracle, JDE, Iscala, Hyperion.
  • Experience of working in Big 4
  • Accounting designation (CPA/CA/CMA)
  • Outstanding strategic thinking and analytical skills. Ability to synthesize facts and insights into concrete, actionable recommendations
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives
