Job Summary

Oversees and administers the operations of stores.    Storages and issues of all Food and Beverage Supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains stock level for all the store items as per approved par-stock levels.
  • Prepares purchase requisitions for the store items as per the movements and par level.
  • Receives the items from the receiving clerk which is ordered by store and verify with purchase request.
  • Follows up with purchasing department for non-delivered items.
  • Arranges / stores the items in the shelves / pallets in category wise and follow FIFO method.
  • Removes all the plastic bags and stacks the items in the shelves.
  • Makes sure that all the store items are kept at appropriate temperature
  • Issues items for different departments / Outlets / Kitchens / Bars etc with approved electronic or manual store requisitions and obtain receiver signature on the requisition.
  • Follows FIFO while issuing the items.
  • Makes requisitions for all manual requisitions and post.
  • Modifies the requisition if any corrections and then posts the requisition.
  • Posts all the store requisitions on daily basis in the Inventory system.
  • Coordinates with departments for special functions and orders the items as per the special requirements.
  • Assists cost control for monthly / yearly stock taking.
  • Ensures that all the store products have reasonable expiry date within Municipality guidelines.
  • Prepares slow moving / non-moving and short expiry items list on monthly basis.
  • Makes sure that stores are always clean and tidy.
  • Maintains high level of Hygiene in the Stores and surrounding areas as per the standard of Meydan Hygiene Department and Dubai Municipality requirements.
  • Follow company HACCP and hygiene standards
  • To report breakage, shortage if any to the Cost Control.

 

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in commerce or accounting.
  • 2 years in similar position in a five-star hotel
  • Computer competency requiring word-processing, spreadsheet and database software knowledge and experience.
  • Good knowledge of Meydan Inventory System and Financial Management System.
  • Have relevant experiences in the Receiving section in hospitality field in UAE
