Job Summary

The F&B Supervisor will assist the Restaurant Manager to plan, organize and direct all processes of the outlet to ensure the outlet provides quality Food and Beverage service that is consistent with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and achieves maximum revenue and profit in line with the budget and forecast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Colleagues activities adhere to and support The Meydan Hotel standards.
  • Provide hands-on support and assistance to Colleagues to ensure highest levels of service and courtesy are provided to guests.
  • Conduct team briefing, meeting and training as directed by Management.
  • Assist management to maintain departmental SOP and ensure that all Colleagues have a working knowledge and always follow SOPS.
  • Supervise the level, consistency and quality of table and/or counter service of all menu items.
  • Ensure that an effective link is maintained between kitchen and service areas.
  • Ensure that all outlet processes adhere to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
  • Consistently monitors Food and Beverages being served and service quality, escalating any major problems/complaints to Management.
  • Actively promote the use of up-selling techniques within the outlet to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue.
  • Provide specialist advice to guests and Colleagues on Food and Beverages.
  • Supervises all aspects of food and beverage quality and hygiene and takes immediate corrective action concerns to Management.
  • In the absence of Restaurant Manager, take responsibility for operational issues.
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Management.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

 

  • Fluency in English is essential; any additional languages is preferable.
  • Previous experience in the Hospitality sector and/or Food and Beverage department in a Resort environment (preferably five star) is required.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong administrative abilities.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects to complete duties and guest requests.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to details, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to have strong guest-oriented services and communication skills.
