With stunning resorts located across the globe and exciting expansion planned, Kerzner International currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Tailor to join the Housekeeping team at One&Only The Palm Resort in Dubai.

With the global growth of our brands, Tailor plays an essential role in the continued success of the Resort. Your responsibilities extend beyond completing tailoring tasks—you will help build strong working relationships with colleagues and contribute to delivering an exceptional standard of presentation for our team and guests. This role involves carrying out high-quality tailoring, alterations, and garment repairs while ensuring precision, craftsmanship, and timely completion of work.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced garment alterations, stitching, hemming, resizing, and repairs.
• Conduct fittings and adjust uniforms or garments to ensure proper measurements and professional appearance.
• Handle delicate fabrics, complex designs, and high‑volume tailoring tasks with precision.
• Lead and guide the tailoring team, ensuring quality control and timely completion of tasks.
• Organize daily workflow, prioritize urgent tailoring requests, and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain all tailoring equipment, machines, and tools in proper working condition.
• Monitor stock levels of sewing supplies, threads, fabrics, buttons, and accessories.
•  Keep the tailoring room clean, safe, and always well‑organized.
• Coordinate with relevant departments, including Housekeeping and Uniform Room, for uniform distribution and alterations.
• Ensure all garments meet company standards before delivery.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism when handling guest items.

A suitable candidate should have a minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Tailor, preferably in an upscale 5-star hotel, resort, luxury hospitality environment, or professional tailoring establishment. Strong knowledge of garment construction, alterations, fittings, sewing techniques, and fabric handling is essential. The candidate must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and finishing. They should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be able to build effective working relationships with colleagues and guests, and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in operating tailoring equipment and tools is required. Fluency in English is essential, while knowledge of an additional language will be considered an advantage.
