About the Role
The successful candidate's responsibilities is to inspect, perform work and preventative maintenance in all aspects and general maintenance of facilities structures and equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to complete assigned task with no supervision. Worked in a specific facilities maintenance trade for at least 10 years and attended a trade school or upper education. Can work as a supervisor when needed.
- Ability to sustain assigned aspects of the property in adherence to typical facilities maintenance procedures this to include but not limited to: Electrical, Mechanical, Kitchen, Painting, Carpentry, Audio and Visual systems, Fire life safety systems, recreational water systems, Hotel rooms and public areas, exterior resort features. Etc.
- Reports to Supervisor and Manager and performs tasks and assignments as necessary.
- Carries out CBM’s (Conditional Based Maintenance) as assigned and follows through with preventive maintenance as per equipment manufacturers and property guidelines and manuals.
- Work safe and follow all health and safety guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Must perform shift coverage as assigned.
- Escalate and advise senior personnel on issues
- Must become familiar with the layout of the building and property
- Ability to work and perform required duties during building emergencies
- Required to keep areas clean - before, during and after jobs. Report cleanliness issues to supervision.
- Maintain tools and equipment as issued, ensure calibration is updated where appropriate
- Will be required to teach and train others
About You
- Understanding and work experience with electrical distribution circuitry including wiring, circuit protection, 3 and single phase power, motors, starters, electrical connecting devises, electrical controls, etc.
- Working knowledge of operation, maintenance and repairs of lighting fixtures and associate wiring and controls; electrical distribution transformers; guestroom management systems; central battery systems; diesel generators, building energy management, etc. systems.
- Working knowledge of operation, maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution boards; distribution switchgear system, low voltage, etc.
- Operational knowledge on use of electrical tools Amp Meter/Multimeter / Insulation Tester / Crimping Tool etc.
- Knowledge about maintenance and operation of building water distribution and filtration system (Cold / Hot water system) and associated pump and other equipment.
- Knowledge and experience on installation PPR/ PVC pipeline and all plumbing piping for sanitaryware's general wash basins, water closet, shower, tubs, sink, kitchen water supply and drains, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in maintenance of pumps / motors and replacement bearings / seal/ valves etc.)
- Maintenance of HVAC Units (AHU/ FAHU/ FCU/ Ventilation fans)
- Knowledge to operate the HVAC measuring tools Sound Level Meter./Temperature / Humidity Meter/ Hygro-Thermometer/Infrared Thermometer/ Airflow meter / Digital clamp meter/ Insulation tester
- Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers related to electrical equipment and mechanical systems.
- Able to monitor Fire Alarm / Life Safety System systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving all electrical systems.
- Ability to train other Staff
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills / Microsoft Office
- Able to independently handle all technical requirement and activities during shifts operations ( Morning / Evening / Night ).
