Job Summary

The F&B Waiter presents a good image of the outlet, always abides by the hotel rules and regulations of the company, ensures that they are fully knowledgeable of all bar products, have a good capacity to upselling and deliver all guests’ orders in a professional way, without a lack of time.

Key Responsibilities

• Line up all chairs on pool deck and places cushions on chairs if removed previous night
• Clean bar counter and inside the bar and clean the tables outside
• Aligned all chairs and tables in the pool bar
• Removes any bottles or glasses left the previous night
• Make M.E.P for every breakfast on pool deck near (pool side)
• Takes all bars requisition request from main store
• Has a break of 15 minutes to have tea
• Takes delivery of requisition from store and deliberate to all bar
• All waiters bring all operating equipment, glass wine kept in bar store to pool bar
• Accomplish any cognate duties assigned to them
• All waiters check the duties’ planning and begin to perform their respective tasks
• Attend briefing with bar manager
• All waiters serve guests as per set up standards and procedures
• Cleans all tables and chairs from bird shits as per established cleaning standards
• Sweeps floor and cleans off any water spots
• Put ashtrays, table number, salt and pepper omits and pepper mills on tables
• Places of wine stands and wine coolers in appropriate areas of the bar
• Places cutlery and folded napkins on each table for lunch service
• Makes M.E.P for various sauces
• Clean all tables and chairs on pool deck                     
• Clean breakfast M.E.P after breakfast
• Collect all soiled linen and change them for clean ones from linen room
• Records stock of linen, tables cloth, lunch and tidbits napkins, coasters and lito in linen book
• Fold napkins for lunch service
• Keep all clean coaster and tidbits napkins in linen in linen basket placed on the counter
• Keep enough lunch napkins for service and take back remaining stock of tablecloth and napkins to dispense bar for storage
• At 15h00, collect and change all soiled linen from linen room
• Cleans glass washing machine, fills in fresh water and appropriate cleaning chemicals
• Washes and polishes all glassware needed for operations: Hiballs, old-fashioned, hurricanes, beer, pyramid, sherry, port, sketkelch, brandy, bathrooms, liqueur and glasses
• Clean all shelves doors and fridges
• Brings ice cubes in ice trolley
• Fill all fridges respectively
• Stores consumables in cupboards
• Bring back remaining stock of consumables for storage in bar store
• At 11h00, collect fruit from main store
• Afternoon tea pool deck
• Waiters prepare M.E.P for afternoon tea
• Change all tables’ cloth and replace them with clean ones
• Places teacup and sauces, sugar bowl, with sugar tong, teaspoons, cutlery, folded napkins and service plate, tables number and ashtrays
• Ensure he has the right menu, pancake menu and lunch menu
• Serve guest as per established standards and procedure.
• Clear out all wine coolers and wine.
• Raise all beverages and food billing and present to the guest as per hotel standard.

• Fully knowledgeable of bar products
•  Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to up upselling.
• Have good guest contact.

• Possess a food handler certificate.
