About the job.

Position Summary

Responsible for organizing supporting documentation for accounts receivable, generating invoices, and assisting with the daily activities of the Credit Department.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Generate invoices for travel agencies and follow up on payments.
  • Manage commission payments for travel agencies.
  • Generate group deposit reports.
  • Manage the collection of commissions from event suppliers operating within the resort, as well as commissions related to Mandarina Experiences, transportation services, and other sources.
  • Follow up on commission payments to travel agents for events held at the Resort.
  • Download credit card payment details required for the reconciliation of Opera transactions against bank records.
  • Review physical credit card vouchers daily and follow up on any discrepancies.
  • Maintain credit card voucher files in an organized, secure, and restricted-access location.
  • Manage stationery supplies for banking terminals.
  • Coordinate the maintenance or replacement of banking terminals.
  • Maintain control over the number of terminals and ensure they are in proper working condition.
  • Generate accommodation invoices for guests and affiliated companies.
  • Record journal entries through iScala and attach the corresponding supporting documentation.
  • Maintain constant communication with colleagues throughout the resort to effectively perform assigned duties.
  • Maintain a positive attitude when facing challenges encountered during daily operations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Credit Manager, Finance Manager, or Director of Finance.

About you.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel accounting within a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
General Skills:
Must be able to perform duties with strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through on tasks.
Demonstrate clear thinking, remain calm under pressure, and solve problems using sound judgment.
Follow instructions closely, understand guest service needs, and work collaboratively with team members.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding associate, guest, and hotel information.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of hotel accounting operations and hospitality-related financial processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required; experience with iScala and Opera systems preferred.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations involving units of measure, including but not limited to percentages, dollars, cents, feet, inches, cups, pounds, and ounces.
Ability to concentrate and maintain attention to tasks despite frequent stressful, emergency, critical, or unusual interruptions.
Ability to memorize, recall, and quickly retrieve dates, names, times, and other information.
Language:
Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform various physical movements within work areas, lift and move items, and remain seated for extended periods of time.
