About the Job.

 

Primary responsibility is to maintain the hotel's payroll system to ensure timely payment of salaries in accordance with standard company operating procedures and all applicable federal, state and local tax laws.

 

Main activities and responsabilities

  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times and maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll information.
  • Ensures compliance with all Resort policies and procedures (SOP's).
  • Review and verify that the information in Abrhil for processing is correct to ensure that payments are made correctly, inform the Manager or Director of Finance of any anomalies.
  • Prepare productivity reports in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure review and approval of biweekly, severance and special payrolls in accordance with the SOP before dispersion of payroll funds to employees.
  • Determination of the provisions of Bonus, vacations, incentives and other benefit expenses.
  • Ensure that payroll taxes are withheld, remitted and submitted in an accurate and timely manner (IMSS, Infonavit, ISN, etc.)
  • Ensure that all attendance control totals match the manual batches or electronic time and attendance batches and that this reconciliation is signed by the Finance Manager or Director of Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with labor law as it relates to overtime, compensation, and job classification (exempt/non-exempt).
  • Review external payroll service reports and bring any discrepancies to the attention of the Finance Manager immediately.
  • Maintain and file all biweekly payroll documentation.
  • Preparation of integration of Balance Sheet accounts, support and monitoring of items for more than 30 days.
  • Assist the Accounting and Finance Manager in the monthly and annual closing process.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in costing Manning for budgets.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned by your Manager or Finance Director.  

 

About You.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel accounting, in a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting.
  • General Skills: Must be able to perform duties with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. Organize, assign priorities and follow up. Have clear ideas, remain calm and solve problems using good judgment. Follow instructions closely, understand the guest's service needs, work closely with colleagues as part of your work team. Maintain confidentiality in the information of associates, guests and the hotel.
  • Technical Skills: Declarations, Federal Labor Law, SUA, SAR, Tax Reforms, Audits, Solid knowledge of current laws and procedures for payroll calculation. Social Security Law and INFONAVIT, Federal Labor Law, Income Tax Law.
  • Language: You are required to speak, read and write in Spanish and English preferably.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform various physical movements in work areas, raise and lower things, and remain seated for long periods of time.
