About the role
To maximize revenue by utilizing all tools available, constantly researching the market, and effective communication amongst all relevant departments. To assist the Director of Revenue Management to identify any opportunities to find the right price for the right customer at the right time to ensure One&Only Aesthesis becomes the Market Leader.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To maximize revenue by utilizing all tools available, constantly researching the market, and effective communication amongst all relevant departments.
  • To assist the Director in identifying any opportunities to find the right price for the right customer at the right time to ensure One&Only Aesthesis becomes the Market Leader.
  • Monitor competitor availability and pricing on a daily basis, using all available tools such as Industry Reports, Internet, Ring Around, Dummy Bookings, etc, and subsequently analyze & report actual performance versus competitive set.
  • Ensure available technology (PMS & RMS / E-channels and GDS) is fully utilized and understood according to property specific business mix and requirements.
  • Ensure optimal use, and measure performance on all distribution channels, to ensure that fair market share is achieved if not surpassed, e.g. GDS, and e-channels.
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing Team in devising marketing campaigns, to ensure that the Hotel reaches the right people, at the right time, in the right place.
  • Carry out analysis of Booking Patterns & Market Trends, and ensure that these are recorded to facilitate future decisions.
  • To identify and propose the hotel pricing strategy by market segment with reference to market intelligence, buying patterns and pre-determined seasonality.
  • To identify and propose tactical offers to generate incremental revenues.
  • To assist on the preparation of the weekly accurate 3 months forecast for hotel rooms revenue by Market Segment/Day.
  • To assist on the preparation of the monthly accurate 12 months forecast for hotel rooms revenue by Market Segment/Day.
  • To prepare revenue month end reporting.
  • To actively participate in the production of the hotel’s annual budget and to assist in the creation, update and evaluation of the hotel Strategy Plan.
  • To prepare a weekly Revenue / Sales Strategy Meeting. Collate and distribute meeting minutes of notes of forecast and strategy changes, including weekly action plan.
  • Identify procedures for effective workflow for all revenue related areas.
  • To ensure all standards and processes and procedures for Revenue Management are followed.
  • Drive Projects related to revenue management (F&B Revenue Management, Spa, Retail).
  • To continuously manipulate availability & rates while ensuring parity across all distribution channels. This allows maximum flexibility to capture all market buying patterns while optimizing REVPAR.
  • To propose incremental revenue generators to maximize overall hotel revenue.
  • Set monthly targets of up selling revenue for front office and reservations department.
  • Maintaining high standards of data quality through system maintenance and audits.
  • Responsible to drive maximum revenues through all available Booking channels by applying relevant pricing and inventory management.
  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly reporting to the regional/corporate office is adhered to in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing to ensure all promotion / programs are fully understood and right for the business.
  • Understand the dynamics of the Global, National, Regional & Local Political and Economic Market, local Competitors and all demand generators for the destination.
  • To perform any additional duties and/or special projects as requested by.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager/General Manager
  • To perform all other jobs related to your scope of work, as requested by your superiors or other Managers.

 

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements 

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Revenue Management
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS (added advantage)
  • Knowledge of Central Reservation Systems, Channel Manager, Third Party Websites
  • Excellent in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications (mandatory)
