About the role
To assist in the operational and financial control of the Guerlain Spa, ensuring complete viability of the Spa. To ensure that the highest standards of treatments and services are adhered to at all times and that guest experience exceeds expectation. To support the Director of Wellness and establish and maintain marketing objectives, operating criteria, programming, budgeting, VIP guest visits, staff relations and training. To promote the overall philosophy and services of the Spa in order to reinforce the reputation and profile of the Resort by providing a quality total destination spa experience.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To interact professionally with guests, members, and members of staff. 
  • To conduct regular daily inspections of the Spa to monitor ambience, maintenance, cleanliness, health and safety, staffing and security.
  • To assist in achieving agreed commercial targets at the Guerlain Spa through the planned coordinated development of the facility and the implementation of the treatment and activity program. 
  • To liaise with the Director of Wellness on forecasts, stock levels, requisitions, budget, targets etc. and ensure a par stock level appropriate to business demands.
  • To assist with the department’s operational budget ensuring that it is in line and costs are strictly controlled.
  • To ensure that the members are kept informed of all the activities and development at the Spa, both in the form of internal and external advertising and the publication of a regular newsletter.
  • To maintain and update equipment, product, service and standards as required.
  • To deal with problems, enquiries and complaints from Spa clientele. 
  • To ensure the team maintains the cleanliness and hygiene of all spa areas, in accordance with the Health, Safety and Hygiene Legislation. 
  • To ensure that good practice is applied to all issues in relation to employees and ensure that all Resort HR policies and procedures are followed.
  • To act as a mentor by maintaining an open door policy at all times and provides staff with opportunities for growth and development.
  • To motivate, encourage and drive the spa team, and maintain the correct level of professionalism and qualified personnel, overseeing all facilities and activities within the Guerlain Spa.
  • Knows and applies resort’s Policies & Procedures, including those for the emergency situations.
  • Ensures maintenance work is completed, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and interest in goals, and objectives of the One&Only brand.
  • Ensures all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the GreekLaw.
  • To assist Director of Wellness with the recruitment, induction, training, development, appraisal and discipline of the entire Spa team.


Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements 

  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a five star Resort/Spa 
  • Fluent in English written and spoken, other languages a distinctive advantage
  • Strong skills in administration.
  • To have a positive and proactive attitude.
  • To have an outstanding customer service skills and a welcoming and sociable personality.
  • Strong skills as leader and interpersonal and social skills.
  • Strong command over all processing documents, computer skills and managing databases such as Microsoft products, Spa Soft and Opera software.
