About the role
The Assistant Manager Laundry is primarily responsible for linen product quality, linen inventory control and the laundering process of the linen placed in the Guest rooms. The Assistant Manager Laundry is responsible for managing the laundering processes of staff and Guest Laundry that must be delivered on time. To ensure all Resort linen and uniforms are sent to the outsource laundry on time and receive on time and is accounted for.  Will ensure storage of Linen is safe and in manner to keep linen.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily duties of the Team Leader Laundry, Attendant laundry, Attendant Uniform Room.
  • To schedule and plan the daily work for the laundry personnel and delegate the work depending on the workload and priority requirements.
  • The Assistant laundry manager in addition to the above responsibilities ensures that all the laundry equipment, machinery and premises are being maintained well. 
  • Ensure that the Linen Counters count accurately by executing weekly checks and report to Executive Housekeeper.
  • Monitor staff productivity according to the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • To make requisition for any laundry supplies like detergents, soaps, bleaches, disinfectants, starches, etc., and to maintain proper records of the supplies and the items that have been laundered.
  • Ensure that high quality cleanliness is maintained and that all the standard regulatory policies are being followed.
  • Keep an accurate total of expenditure for the month. 
  • To assist with any other duties as required by the Director or another member of the management team.

Skills, Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education – Bachelor degree in Tourism
  • Knowledge of Greek and English
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge on Word, Excel and Opera
  • Must have basic accounting skills
  • Previous experience a luxury resort
