Job Summary
As a Barista, you will serve as a key ambassador of our brand, delivering refined and memorable coffee experiences to our guests. You will be entrusted with upholding the One&Only service ethos by providing intuitive, customer-focused service while maintaining the highest operational standards. Collaborating closely with Culinary and Service teams, your role contributes directly to delivering a distinguished, luxury hospitality journey. You will support leadership in optimizing guest satisfaction, driving beverage innovation, and contributing to continuous service enhancement initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, equipment functionality, and drink preparation standards.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all coffee blends, teas, milk alternatives, and seasonal beverage offerings.
• Ensure proper mise-en-place of all barista stations, including calibration of espresso machines, grinder adjustments, and restocking of supplies as per SOPs.
• Execute beverage orders efficiently, consistently aligning with brand presentation standards and guest personalization.
• Ensure cleanliness and functionality of equipment; conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues proactively.
• Maintain compliance with all departmental SOPs, food safety regulations (HACCP/DIVERSEY), and health standards.
• Cultivate an engaging and welcoming atmosphere by embodying brand storytelling and conveying knowledge of the outlet’s concept and promotions.
• Monitor and replenish inventory, maintaining communication with storeroom and procurement teams for timely replenishment.
• Uphold standards of quality and consistency across all beverage offerings through ongoing training and self-development.
• Proactively support service teams during peak operational hours and execute side duties as required by the F&B leadership.
• Assist in beverage menu development and innovation through feedback, tastings, and market trends awareness.
• Serve as a role model of exceptional guest service, embodying discretion, professionalism, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of barista experience within a high-end hospitality or luxury environment.
• Strong command of the English language; additional languages are advantageous.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine guest-first mindset.
• Certification in Barista Training and/or Specialty Coffee knowledge is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems such as Micros.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team and adapt to evolving guest expectations.
• A working knowledge of sustainable practices and ethical sourcing in the coffee supply chain is a plus.
• Prior experience in a five-star resort or boutique hotel is preferred but not mandatory.
