Job Summary
The Concierge is a central point of contact for guests seeking information, services, or personalized experiences during their stay. This role requires a strong focus on proactive guest engagement, a deep knowledge of local attractions and services, and the ability to curate tailored experiences that elevate the overall guest journey. The Concierge is expected to consistently deliver anticipatory, intuitive service in alignment with luxury hospitality standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for all guest inquiries, offering expert advice on local dining, entertainment, cultural activities, transportation, and other personal services.
- Maintain a poised, courteous, and proactive demeanor, consistently demonstrating emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.
- Coordinate and confirm reservations for dining, events, transportation, tours, and other guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure seamless communication of guest needs and preferences to relevant departments, proactively managing follow-up to guarantee execution.
- Curate personalized itineraries for guests and VIPs, taking into account their preferences, purpose of visit, and lifestyle.
- Maintain a strong knowledge base of current and upcoming local events, restaurants, exhibitions, and excursions to provide up-to-date recommendations.
- Assist with luggage handling, storage, and delivery in collaboration with Bell Services, as required.
- Manage pre-arrival correspondence and offer concierge services prior to the guest’s check-in to enhance the guest journey.
- Actively promote and support the hotel’s initiatives, experiences, and packages to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of guest preferences, special requests, and service recovery instances using the appropriate tracking systems.
- Ensure full compliance with Forbes Travel Guide and LQA service standards in all guest interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Concierge desk and any shared guest service areas.
- Support the Guest Relations/Concierge Team Leader in executing special projects, guest feedback loops, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Uphold the confidentiality and privacy of all guest information at all times.
Education and Qualificaions
- Bachelor's degree
- Must be computer literate, knowledge of MS Office, Excel and Opera is essential.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and be able to multi-task.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or resort environment, preferably within Concierge, Guest Relations, or Front Office roles.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a focus on active listening and empathy.
- Strong multitasking capabilities and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional European or international languages are considered an asset.
- Deep knowledge of the local area, including high-end restaurants, cultural landmarks, and premium services.
