The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for delivering commercially driven omnichannel marketing and communication strategies aimed at driving brand awareness, resort positioning, storytelling and content across owned, earned and paid media in key international markets. The Director of Marketing & Communications must have a strong understanding of brand strategy, marcomms campaigns, digital marketing, creative storytelling, partnerships, PR and design. The Director of Marketing & Communications will work closely with the Director of Sales, and all resort operational heads, to ensure marcomms activations are aligned with programming calendars and One&Only global branding standards are maintained across all resort consumer and colleague touchpoints and channels.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Marketing & Communications strategies: Develop, create and execute integrated resort Marketing and Communication yearly plans to drive brand awareness and booking conversion. Monitor and measure campaign performance to accurately determine top line impact and ROI. Campaigns should drive revenue across all departments i.e., rooms, experiences, wellness, F&B etc.
  • Resort brand positioning: identify and drive the resort’s positioning statements, values and USPs working closely with Global Marketing & Communications Team
  • Storytelling development and content creation: Develop storytelling strategies that include, but not limited to: brand partnerships, resort activations, programming, content creation, photo and video shoots, post production
  • Content distribution: Develop storytelling distribution across all B2C and B2B channels including, but not limited to: website, social, email marketing, press room, resort collateral, advertising, trade
  • E-commerce / Advertising: Execute print and digital consumer advertising campaigns
  • Agency management: In tandem with the Global Marketing & Communications Team, build relationships and manage global agency networks including communications agencies, social media agencies, digital advertising agencies, CRM agencies. Manage local F&B agency through defining a clear SOW.
  • Channel management: Drive channel integration, optimisation and management across SEO, SEM, website, social, CRM and acquisition campaigns. Track, analyze and report website and online marketing campaigns across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • On-property brand management: Drive and implement One&Only global brand standards across all physical, digital and print guest facing touchpoints from pre-arrival to post-stay e.g., pre-arrival communication templates, in-room collateral and amenities, F&B collateral, back-of-house displays etc.
  • Sales & Marketing materials: Develop and design all Sales & Marketing collateral and materials – brochures, presentations, ad campaigns
  • Partnerships: Identify and pursue strategic local and international partnerships to help position the resorts and create new and engaging content.
  • PR & Media Relations: media engagement, agency management, crisis communications, press room content, hosting media and KOLs

 

 

Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and brand strategy – a strong understanding in brand building and clear strategic and imaginative thinking
  • Creative and design –a strong understating of luxury design and knowledge of design programmes e.g., InDesign, Keynote, Photoshop.
  • Digital marketing – an understanding of digital full-funnel marketing strategies including SEM, programmatic, social, video, display banner ads etc.
  • Copywriting – excellent English writing skills
  • Presentation skillsability to speak and present effectively before groups such as General Manager, Resort Department Heads, Global Office, customers, or colleagues
  • Leadership and communication - proven leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills

 

 

Required Experience:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Marketing and Communications in luxury hospitality or luxury lifestyle brand
  • Proven track record implementing successful Marketing and Communication strategies and campaigns to build brand reputation, awareness, and conversion
  • Global outlook with experience of working across multiple regions

 

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional international travel
