Position Summary
The Director of Finance is responsible for leading the financial strategy, governance, and performance of One&Only Aesthesis. The role ensures the integrity of financial operations, compliance with corporate and statutory requirements, effective business planning, and the achievement of the resort's financial objectives. As a member of the Executive Committee, the Director of Finance serves as a strategic business partner to the General Manager and department leaders, driving profitability, operational efficiency, sustainable growth, and financial excellence across all areas of the resort.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
•    Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Kerzner International and One&Only Aesthesis business objectives.
•    Work closely with the General Manager and Executive Committee to drive commercial performance and profitability.
•    Provide strategic financial guidance to support business decisions and operational planning.
•    Evaluate financial risks and opportunities, proposing actions to improve business performance.
•    Promote a culture of financial accountability throughout the resort.
Financial Planning & Analysis
•    Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
•    Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances against budget and forecast.
•    Deliver timely and accurate financial reports to ownership, corporate offices, and resort leadership.
•    Monitor key business indicators and recommend corrective actions where required.
•    Support department heads with financial planning and performance management.
Financial Control & Compliance
•    Ensure strong internal controls and financial governance across all functions.
•    Maintain compliance with all local legislation, taxation requirements, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
•    Oversee statutory reporting and coordinate external audits.
•    Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of all financial information.
•    Maintain compliance with Kerzner International policies and financial reporting standards.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
•    Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support business requirements.
•    Review and monitor cash flow forecasts and funding requirements.
•    Ensure effective treasury management and banking relationships.
•    Protect resort assets through robust financial controls and oversight.
Procurement & Asset Management
•    Oversee procurement governance and purchasing controls.
•    Ensure purchasing activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and approved budgets.
•    Monitor inventory controls and cost management practices.
•    Review and evaluate capital expenditure proposals and investment projects.
•    Support asset protection and capital planning initiatives throughout the resort.
Business Partnership & Commercial Support
•    Work closely with Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing, Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Spa, Retail, and Private Homes teams to maximize profitability.
•    Support pricing, forecasting, and business performance initiatives.
•    Participate in owner reviews, quarterly business meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
•    Provide financial insight to support operational and commercial decision-making.
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the resort.
Leadership & Talent Development
•    Lead, develop, coach, and mentor the Finance team.
•    Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
•    Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
•    Conduct regular performance reviews and development discussions.
•    Promote colleague engagement and support learning and development programs.
Private Homes & Residences Financial Oversight
•    Provide financial oversight and reporting support for the Private Homes and Residences operation.
•    Ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control processes related to residences operations.
•    Support owners' financial reporting requirements, where applicable.
•    Partner with operational leaders to ensure the successful financial management of residences-related activities.
Health, Safety & Corporate Responsibility
•    Ensure compliance with all health, safety, security, and environmental standards.
•    Support the resort's sustainability and responsible business initiatives.
•    Maintain familiarity with emergency and crisis management procedures.
•    Serve as a role model for One&Only values and leadership behaviors.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
•    Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
•    Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) preferred.
•    Master's Degree (MBA or related discipline) is advantageous.
Experience
•    Minimum 5 years of senior finance leadership experience within luxury hospitality.
•    Previous experience as Director of Finance, Financial Controller, or equivalent leadership role.
•    Experience working within an international luxury hotel or resort environment.
•    Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, business planning, and commercial analysis.
•    Experience supporting owner reporting and asset management initiatives.
